Historiker beschreiben den Johannisstein als einen Ort, an dem in der Vergangenheit eine Skulptur des hl. Johannes des T\u00e4ufers stand, wo aber auch im Schein der zur Sonnenwende angez\u00fcndeten Feuer die Johannisnacht gefeiert wurde. Mit dem Aufschwung des Tourismus am Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts wurde er zu einem beliebten Ausflugsort. Grund hierf\u00fcr waren die einzigartige geologische Struktur des Felsenmassivs der Johannissteine, vor allem aber die einzigartige Rundsicht und der unbeschreibliche Zauber dieses Ortes.<\/span><\/p>\n
